My career began in 1994 when I started training for the Olympics. I retired in 2010 as an 8-time Olympic medalist in the sport of Short Track Speedskating. I am still very much involved in the Olympic movement as an ambassador to the Olympic Games, broadcaster for NBC, and Special Olympics as a Global Ambassador. In addition, I am on the bid committee for the 2028 Summer Olympics here in Los Angeles.
