Patrick O’Kain is a special agent with the US Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration in New York’s Cyber Unit where he focuses on financial regulation and anti-money laundering issues involving cryptocurrency and cybercrime.
Prior to joining the DEA, Patrick spent nearly a decade solving complex defense-related challenges for Fortune 500 companies and spent significant time deployed to Iraq for the US Intelligence Community.
Patrick’s background in the Department of Justice and Intelligence Community gives him a unique perspective on cryptocurrencies and their current and future roles in the global economy.
Patrick is passionate about emerging technologies that have the potential to make the world a better place and is an active investor in the Fintech, Biotech, and Cleantech sectors. Patrick is currently completing his MBA at Columbia Business School.
